In using the newest version of our role play system, there were several changes that were put into place. Not only were the overall look and feel of the system upgraded but, the back end as well. One thing to take away from it is that the system is user friendly, players and admins of the groups will find that things have been streamlined to minimize the amount of clicks it takes to quickly get started within your group.

Firstly you can get into the portal by two methods. By clicking on the main navigation bar at the top or by the Role Play Portal link within the index listing.

You will be then presented with the group listing. This will change depending on the group with the most recent change. What this means is that the group with the latest updated information will be displayed first. This is to let those groups without active threads dropping to the rear of the listing.

You can also join the group from here as well. To enter the group, simply click on the title. You can also arrange or filter the order in which the listing can be displayed to you by selected the tabs above the listing. As the title of each one will tell you, the entire group listing will changing depending on the one you select.

Within a group you are presented with a summery of what this particular group is about. You can click on the other tabs presented to you. The small icon (three lines on top of each other) otherwise known as the hamburger icon is available when there are more options that you can choose from.

The forums section is where all of the role play will take place. If the group admin has chosen, you will have a choice between IC threads section or OOC threads. You can choose one or both when setting up your group. You may also change this but typically you will need to wait at least 30 days before making another change within the forum section.

Within the events section you can allow only yourself, or your members within the group to create events. This is here to help you streamline large groupings in so that you can schedule when a certain event can take place. bringing your players together to flesh out that large battle or anything else you wish.

By clicking on the gear icon will bring up the option menu. Here you can administrate your group. The options are laid out in a way that offers you an easy workflow in getting your group up and running quickly.

You can insert rules to help your players understand your game mechanics. Upload a logo and a cover to help your group stand out and to draw potential players in. Within the tabs display section you can set in which tab can be viewable. Don't wish to have the event calendar appear, simply click the box to disable it and your players will no longer see that option.

2015-03-30_23-21-23.jpg By choosing a ribbon you can have on display on your groups listing a helpful feature to make your group stand out or to inform others that your game is looking for players, on hiatus, or any manner of things in which you can think of.
