Security is becoming an ever increasing worry in how we conduct our online lives. With the recent upgrade of the forums we're excited in having two-step authentication included. This is an opt-in setting, it is not set up already. You would have to enable the setting yourself as it is felt that opt-out settings would hinder our members and is something we do not want to force upon you.
The process is rather simple. hover your mouse over your account name in the upper right. Your user control panel will drop down and then you can click on the Two-Step Authentication link there.
Now you have two options, you can enable two-step authentication via a mobile app or by email. Mobile apps such as Google Authenticator are very good in providing you a single, one time use pin code that you can then enter to fully login.
The email method is similar in only that a code will then be emailed to the email address you have entered into your profile here.
