COUNCIL OF VENICE
REPORT #1
REGARDING THE PARISIAN MONSTER SURGE
WRITTEN BY STEPHEN GRANT (ILLUMINATI)
TRANSCRIBED BY JENNY JAMES
Ladies. Gentlemen. Welcome to Paris. Y'know, I have a lot of fond memories of Paris, like the time I was balls deep in a -
Ahem. According to Mr. Webster, I shouldn’t be talking so much about my personal life, or my balls. And you know what, impending fatherhood has changed me. Made me more work-focused. So let’s discuss the details of Paris.
In the beginning of August, people began to go missing. Hey, no problem, right?
Well, turned out to be a big enough issue that crack pot conspiracy theorists could comment on it. That’s real bad for the masquerade - y’know, the fact that we all try and keep the Secret World... secret?
The situation dissolves, leading to this:
Venice has finally stepped in, declaring that the city is open to investigation for all factions. Here's the gist of it, boys and girls: the city has multiple layers. Subways, sewers, underground labyrinths and catacombs full of skeletons. And the Templars have a job, boys and girls - they're meant to guard all of that and keep the monsters inside and bay.
They're not doing that. Why? We don't know. Corruption? Monster surge? A wizard did it? That's our job - find out what's going on and fix it.
Let's take a look at the power players in the city.
Antoine Savoy is the Templar head honcho in town, voted into rule the joint. Motherfucker's so old he cums dust, and he has opinions on anyone who isn't a born and bred Parisian. Treat him with care.
The Templars have sent someone new into town, which makes sense - they’re in the hot seat. Thank God they sent our favourite Knight-Captain, Cassandra Havelock. She’s the beeeeeest. What would we do without her? Honestly, we can probably just let Havelock take care of everything. Bitch.
Brittany Duval is the lawmaker and enforcer in Paris. She’s young, beautiful, and ambitious. Youngest Enforcer in history. She’d have a pretty good idea of whatever’s going on underground. Or at least, she better.
Bousquet is Duval’s right hand. Tends to keep his head down, get the job done. Savoy and Duval seem to trust him, despite the fact that he’s kind of new.
The Witch Doctor of Paris is Halette Narcisse. She’s the one who tends to the sick and heals the injured and shit. She might have a unique perspective on this.
Finally, we got a mole down at this bar called The Rook, who is run by some guy called... The Rook. What a fuckin’ clown. Anyways, you wanna talk to Jay Thomas. He’s with the Illuminati, watching the city.
Speaking of Illuminati, there's another Blue in the city - Valerie Xi. She got fucked up by something or another. She might be able to tell us what - and where.
There’s a couple of other things you might want to investigate. There’s a Coven of Paris that makes up part of the Secret World government. Finally, there’s an Administration Office that tracks all kinds of various shit. Some Templar - Venice code Ludious, whatever that means, managed to hunt down the local Romani and set up an agreement. You can read about his adventures here. He might be able to help you.
Good hunting, agents.
