2016. What. A. Year. Love it or hate it, it's definitely made an impression... and it's given us (and no doubt our characters!) a lot to talk about.

So, our last writing prompt of 2016 won't be a double-feature, but a triple-feature! That's a lot of writing, so don't feel obligated to reply to them all. Write as the muse strikes!

SEASON RECAP
1. Has your character kept any of their New Year's resolutions? If so (or if not!), how has it affected them?
2. Were there any major turning points in your character's life this year? How have they dealt with it?
3. What does your character hope to accomplish in the year ahead? Have they already made some progress towards this goal?

FOR AN EXTRA CHALLENGE: Write any of these replies as a journal entry!

You can post your reply directly into this thread, into the Storybook, or in both places, if you wish! Please remember to follow the rules when sharing your response(s). Love one of the responses that you've read? Shower the author with compliments here!

We want to take a moment, as well, to thank you all so very, very much for participating in these prompts. We hope that you've had as much fun writing up replies as we've had reading them!

Thank you all for checking in, and we hope the rest of your year is peaceful, restful, and filled with happiness. <3

It's been so many years since I last spent the coming of the New Year in the house of my parents - though now I should get in the habit to call it mine... or ours. Theo is sleeping like a bear still and I took many minutes just to look at him sleep. I can't believe we've been together for a bit more than a year now. It hasn't always been easy, considering our line of work. But since I met him, many things in my life have changed; I've fulfilled a vow to my parents and myself that I had pushed away for decades when I brought someone within this house. 'I'll only return when I've met someone to whom I'll entrust my heart to'. Even praying at my parent's resting place, I kept this promise. Okaasan, Otosan... I hope you approve of him and welcome him within this house. He's everything to me.

Thinking back on this last year, I sometimes have trouble remembering how life was without him. And how could I forget Nee-chan? Though Retsu is not of my blood, she is as much a sister to me as can ever be. Always looking out for me, even if I can handle things quite well on my own. But she can't help it, like any big sister. With her by my side, and my bond with Sun Hyeon-nim being so close to one of father and son... I guess I never truly realized until now that I do have a family again. Each of them helped drag me out of the darkness; I'll forever be thankful.

Would it be selfish of me to hope for more?
Maybe I'm a hopeless romantic deep down but... Theo did ask me what kind of ring I liked. We even talked marriage a bit. Obviously, I 'had' to turn crimson; He has such an effect on me. So I shall hope our lives settle some this year, maybe find a way to travel to Izu Oshima more often and spend some private time together. Or even go camping. Fox told me there are some amazing places to see in Canada. Mmmm sharing a tent with my beloved... I wouldn't say no to that.
