• Major updates are done! We've squashed the nastier bugs, but there are probably a few smaller ones still scurrying about. Send us a DM on Twitter (@lowerworldtsw) or to @Custodian/@Voltigeur on this site if you catch one! We'll be tweaking the site's appearance and updating guides as the month goes on. :)

Make sure you have read the first Venetian Report before posting in this thread!
http://thelowerworld.com/threads/venetian-report-1-a-city-in-crisis.959/

Players, please use this thread to post your intended actions. Example: "Jane Smith is going to go talk with Howard Preece, and see what he has to say!" or "John Q is going to head to the Alley Cat and talk with DJ Lipstix about her connections in the city."

Once you have posted your action in the action thread, please make sure you are following @RequineRP on Twitter. The DMs will post when they are available in a post that looks like this:

The player and DM will then resolve that scene - either through a conversation or a collaborative narrative written in a Google Doc.

In addition, we have created a Discord Channel. This is an in-browser chat client that will allow people to coordinate in real time, if they so choose. The DMs will be in here as often as possible to answer questions and handle concerns.

With all of that stated - we are ready to go! Players, submit your actions for the launch of OPERATION: Rising Angels!

Hannibal Symes

Sailor, Soldier, and Envoy of New Carthage
Hannibal Symes flipped thoughtfully through the Venetian dossier on his lap. The photographs were gruesome, to be certain. But almost poetic in a strange way. Nothing was without the veneer of glamour in Los Angeles.

Where to begin, where to begin... What about this Keith Jackson lad? A reformed dealer... one of ours, perhaps? Or a refugee of the Golden Skull? Whatever the case, it seemed a good idea to pay the young man a visit. Clearly he had something on his chest, perhaps Hannibal could unburden him of his woes.

Jericho Blake writes an email to Preece.

Mr. Preece:

I've been reviewing the dossier on the current situation, and will try to familiarize myself with the players involved. As you know I'm no investigator, but I'm on call for any operations that come up, whether as tactical consultants or boots on the ground.

J.B.

As he closes the laptop, he decides he may need to go on to L.A. after all, and visit the Alleycat. Best to have the lay of the land and the who's who before he needs it.

Blythe Vidal-DuBois sighs as she goes through the dossier sent to her through her tablet. For once she thought she was spared from participating in field operations, but the Templars called for people skilled in magic and magical ritual, made obvious by the 'pleasant' pictures. The dossier instructed for her to contact the former Templar, Kay Lawes, who was currently located in Los Angeles.

After sending off an e-mail to Ms. Lawes, Blythe shuts off her tablet and sighs. 'Well, I haven't been to America in a long time.'

Rachel Colchester receives a message on her phone, requesting her assistance in Los Angeles. She listens to
Miriam Zielinski-Barringer's broadcast. Rachel did hear stories of what happened in Los Angeles last time and listening to the 'girl detective's' plead for help and the dossier showed that it wasn't clear. Being a fellow investigator herself, might as well contact Miriam. It's been a while since she visited California anyway.

Rachel Vidal-DuBois jumped onto the "fun" part of the mission mentioned in the dossier, going to the club "The Alleycat." The DJ herself seemed like an interesting character, maybe it would be a little fun trying to get information out of her.

Atrus

Atrus wasn't exactly clear why he, of all agents, had been market to go to LA, but he figured that having a good talk with Kay Lawes would be a good starting point to figure out what to do. Hoping that at least this one wasn't secretly a Strix or golem or other people-crushing creature of any particular nature.

Sverin

Infernal Investigations, Council of Venice
Of course, S'verin does not /want/ to be in LA, but when Powell actually comes to his office with a ticket and expectations that he help clean up after himself, he cannot exactly say no. Not directly, at least, especially since Lawes has been informed that he will be traveling to LA and reporting in to her. How rude of them. He is, after all, a busy man and would far rather send his subordinates to deal with this issue.

LA. FUCKING LA.

You can see how thrilled Russell is to be back in the City of (ha!) Angels.

First priority for him is touching base with Kay Lawes, with whom he has a cordial working relationship. Second is talking to Miriam.

Third is trying to find out what happened to the Barrosos. Maybe this cute little DJ he's heard about knows a thing or two...

* * * *

Sarah's little happier to be back in Los Angeles.

En route, she'd be scarfing down everything available on this newest... problem to afflict the city. She has also been trying to devise a chemical cure for Triple-Z (her treatment on Preece's daughter was effective, but she can't very well use blood magic on the whole goddamned city, now can she?

Before she does anything else, though, she'll have to have a word with the good Mr. Preece.
