Major updates are done! We've squashed the nastier bugs, but there are probably a few smaller ones still scurrying about. Send us a DM on Twitter (@lowerworldtsw) or to @Custodian/@Voltigeur on this site if you catch one!
We'll be tweaking the site's appearance and updating guides as the month goes on. :)
Nevaan strained a smile on his lips, feigning as if he knew what was going on while he shook Havelock's calloused hand. "Hi, a pleasure, Mr. Havelock!"
His attention drifted towards Blake. A degree of realization surfaced in his countenance. "Oh, so we're burning the front of the building as a distraction while we sneak in the back? How much resistance and security will we be facing in the rear entrance?" he asked curiously.
Kate pinches the bridge of her nose, then speaks to Nev. "Kate Burnet. Pissed off Templar." Turning to Jericho, she offers no apology for not clueing him in earlier. "Alright, Zhuge has been in touch with me. Give me a time and that'll be when the bomb goes off."
"Not much. 60 men - and they'll be concentrated near the front. There'll be a dense security core around Cass." Havelock's brow knits. "Blake, you saw how they were armed - anti Bee smoke, and nothin' fancy besides that. Their biggest weapon is their faith. They may..." Here, he looks worried. "They may try to hold a gun to Cass's head."
"Sixty, wow!" Nevaan gazed skyward in thought, clicking his tongue. "We can get by them if we sneak and be subtle, eh? Do we have stealth devices? Maybe we can even beat some of them up, take their stuff and try to blend in?"
Blake studiously avoids Kate. "Good job, Mr. Havelock. Ms. St. Jude, I agree you should take position earlier, I'll text you a map. The rest of you, we meet at 20:00 in Agartha, and make for the portal together. Mr.Erekon, I can have a black helicopter at the portal. You can fly us if you want. Everyone, wear at least a protective vest. We'll send Zhuge the signal when we're airborne." He looks around the group. "Any further questions? Mr. Powell?"
Nevaan flashed an excitable grin at Blake and nodded. "Got it! I will be there all prepared!"
The excitable man rose a hand after. "I do have a question! If we are bringing firearms, may I suggest we should have a silencer modified into our guns? That way, all that rattle of firing won't attract other guards once we bust in. Also, can you give me a gist of our plan again? I want to be sure that I know what I'm doing."
"I can do magic," he beamed as he wiggled his fingers in the air, mimicking a gesture of a magician playing tricks. "I can manipulate blood and elemental. Where is this bomb getting planted?"
((We discussed suppressors earlier in the thread and decided on real life rather than Hollywood rules. Suppressors shave about twenty decibels off gunshots, but don't make guns go phut phut, contrary to movie-land and computer game belief. It still goes BANG really loud. They're designed to confuse the range of where a shot came from.))
"As we approach, a Templar infiltrator will set off an explosion. We come in the back door, guns blazing, and get the Knight Captain out. Remember they'll gas us with anti-anima agent, so we'll be vulnerable, and have no access to our usual enhancements."
"Oh, I see," he blinked and nodded. "Guess we have to use conventional tactics of assault. Do we have flashbangs and smoke bombs to help in the confusion? Is there any other routes in the building, like ventilation and drainage system?"
((No worries! I was in military myself IRL XD So I do know. Nevaan, however, is slightly ignorant and is a dork ICly.))
Nevaan nodded in understanding as he offered a reassuring smile to Blake. He shifted in his seat and stretched his good leg out to ease the tension. In a moment of silence, he contemplated briefly about the plan.
"I understand. I just wanted to be cautious. If we are lucky, maybe we can get a few hits in with our powers before they set off some anti-Anima agent to hinder us," he said.
Kate watches Jericho with a curious frown. "Right, well. I'll go and make sure all my gear's in order." She stands and picks up her holdall, which contains all the gear she knows perfectly well is in good order. She makes her way to the door, flicking the back of Jericho's head on the way past.
