No, no you're not doing it wrong, Requine . I just needed to understand what your were expecting to do with them. Now, we just need to hook them into the mechanics a bit how about something like this?
Chaos Construct Chains. You gain the ability to bind a character with magical summoning chains, with a successful Contested Magic test. NPCs bound in this way may not be released until the chains are dismissed.
Chaos Construct Spears. You may use "Magic" instead of "Shoot" in ranged combat, as you summon forth magical spears to throw at your enemies.
Chaos Construct Platforms. You may summon forth magical platforms from thin air and move them around at will.
Also, I'm assuming you'd swap out your "Lore" stat for "Magic" and take a -1 Refresh for using magic-type abilities.
