Egypt Everything Has a Price

Sometimes when an idea creeps into your mind, it's hard to fathom the lengths one would go in order to find normalcy. For the past few months life had moved from the world of the living to that of the spirits. Kana knew in that going down this path would require much more from her than what normally would be called for. The curse she inherited from Burke's father after helping him continue on his journey through the afterlife proved to be harder to find some loophole.

She had spent the first three weeks roaming through the spirit world, searching a possible source of the curse. Knowing that Burke felt in that it should be his burden to bear and not hers had grown quite annoying. Coming to a head in affecting her professional work during missions and counting on him to not sideline her for the fact of the possible effects of the curse during their day to day work. Deciding in that there is only one way in either spending the rest of her days worrying that those she served with would pay the price for her inaction or hesitation from herself or Burke or to confront the issue head on.

Deciding in the location of a tomb deep in the Egyptian desert served as the perfect conduit in crossing over. Knowing the bee would try its best to keep her from dyeing but the curse would override the process quickly as she slipped from the living world. The tomb was sealed from the outside after she entered, the only way out would be only after she had found a way on the other side. Some equate suffocation to that of drowning. Your body burns from within as it desperately tries to pull in any oxygen without success. Your pulse thunders throughout your brain as primal reactions claw out to keep itself alive while the feeling of sleep overtakes everything. She never enjoyed the various methods of death she had gone through since gaining Gaia's gift, suffocation was the lessor of two evils in how to go.

Answers are something one needs to find on their own through a hard path. Her path weaved through varying paths as the weeks went by. Eventually the clues and ideas slowly began to appear before her. She had found a way that would placate the transference of the curse to Burke. Being a curse based on a family heritage and blood, only in that the process might possibly be extremely precarious.
