Game Systems

What system do you use or perhaps prefer to use during your games? Sometimes people would modify one system to work for their particular game or play-style.

So, which out of the many available systems do you enjoy using?

What do you mean by game systems? Like how we prefer to play in TSW RP or what RPG systems we like in general? For the later its Shadowrun and The dark Eye (Das schwarze auge, German P&P system.) and in Larp I prefer a simple you can what you can system.

For MMOs I tend do go with what the characters should be able to do depending on their background and throw in some rolls for critical situation where the outcome is not clear. Nothing formalized though.

Mostly in what kind of rule set or game system (FATE, WoD) that one would try to incorporate into how their characters work. Was interested in what people use to help them flesh out how they see the world of The Secret World and the paths their characters would take.

Weaknesses, strength or even personalities that would make the character more intriguing. This can also be used for RP that you would take part in as well. With TSWRP it's a place for many RP'ers to meet talk about things in game and out and is generally well ingrained within the community. I don't see them as a big brother/sister within the RP community. TLW is a place for those of us that want more out of our role-play while not being able to be in-game at the same time. The tools are here to help in make this possible along with a place for organized RP games.

Hey @Leastwise and that is awesome in designing a custom set of rules. In just learning more about FATE and that which Silkie is doing, there is some great people out there and it's great in knowing you all :)

Hey LW this is pretty awesome. I'm actually a big fan of the FATE system, and have used it for sci fi and fantasy pen and paper games. I guess I'll have to make a Version of Jerry in case you want to try this out. :)

Generally I play my games on my Gen 2 Xbox 360 (the one with the actual buttons instead of what seems like "touch screens" that you touch for buttons; the one that can't play the original 360 games though it came with them when I bought it from eBay. LOL) but I also have a Nintendo 64 and a laptop & a desktop that I use for games.
