There is a weathered, wooden sign on the side of the road. Below the faded drawings of a leaping trout and a conifer branch are the words:

“Hemlock Falls” is an intro level story for a medium-small group of players (5-10?), set into a small, mysterious mountain town in the Appalachians.
A mysterious and disturbing radio signal has been received from the whereabouts of the town of Hemlock Falls. One of the minor societies, via the Council of Venice, has asked for a number of agents to send in place to investigate incognito. This means not revealing anything about the Secret World, including the societies, magic powers, or arcane lore, to anyone in town, unless the situation makes it absolutely necessary.
A portal to the town outskirts will be kindly provided by the Council but, to avoid discovery, it will only reopen for a short window after a week. Likewise, radio silence with your respective headquarters is to be maintained at all costs.
The keywords of this mission are secrecy and blend in.
How you’re going to do that in a small town where everyone knows each other, well, that’s all up to you...

- You like play-by-post RP with a regular pace
- You’re a new character, and/or looking for a small-impact adventure
- You prefer to solve things through brains and conversation rather than brawn
- You like atmospheric pieces, and a mix of surreal and mundane (think Myst, Kentucky Route Zero, The disappearance of Ethan Carter, Gone Home, Twin Peaks)
- You’ve seen it all and are unfazed by whatever the secret world can throw at you
