Rule #1: don't be a dick. That should cover most of it.
This story will last a week character-time, so plan accordingly if you have to time events with your group, cabal, or personal storyline.
I ask to the players joining the story that they post regularly. This does not mean several times a day, or even every day (although that would be optimal), but just to be available and not disappear without notice. Other players depend on you, so it's often better to write a one-liner and let the story proceed rather than wait a week to post something flourishing.
If you plan on being absent for a while, post in the OOC planning thread and/or allow a DM or another player to take over your character temporarily.
If you disappear without notice I will move your character the minimum amount necessary to keep the plot going.
There will be no fixed posting order.
If a player and DM are online at the same time, it might be possible that there will be some rapid back and forth between them, like during a dialogue or an action scene. This is not meant to dismiss other players. You will all have your chance to shine.
If you feel that your character is not getting enough screen time, or you're not sure what to do, or would just like to pitch an idea before writing it in public, always feel free to DM me.
For the sake of public peace, I reserve the right to boot players out of this group without appeal, and I'll write their characters out of the story. However, we're all pretty nice people so I'm sure it won't come to that.
