The organization is led by a single mysterious figure who is known only as ‘The Consul’. Below him are his four Prefects, who are the highest figures most people in the group will meet. No one besides these four know the identity of the Consul. Each of these four deputies then command three or more Centurions in their own regions, forming a Cohort. The senior-most Centurion is the second in command of the Cohort. The Centurions lead their own ‘cells’ which are known as ‘Centuries’. A Centurion in their organization commands anywhere from 20-60 members, based on their region.

Beneath the Centurion, is the Decanus. Each Century has at least two of these men, commanding eight-to-ten personnel each who hold the rank of ‘Miles’, the operatives and footsoldiers of the order. This is the lowest level of a unit within the Children, and are used in most operations at that size. These ten people will only typically know their fellow Century members upon induction, though will inevitably discover more members through the tournaments the organization hosts to keep its operatives strong.

Ranks:

Consul

Prefect (Handler of the Officers)

Centurion (Officer/Handler, commands at least two Decani and twenty operatives)

Decanus (Sergeant, leads eight to ten operatives)

Miles (Operative)

Prospect (Un-initiated hopeful member)

Mercenary (Un-initiated hired help)

Specialized Ranks:

Champion (An experienced and skilled Mithraist, this individual is the epitome of the Mithraist ideals and combat forms, choosing to fight mostly in close quarters. This rank can be taken on by any of the other ranks should they prove worthy. The majority are Bee’s. When a Mithraist takes on this rank, he takes upon himself the name of a Roman hero.)

Champion-Prospect (A person selected to undergo the trials to become a Champion.)
