The Court of Spring ~ War Tent

Stray buzzes back in. "I might need a council squad with me. Any civilians in there would likely not react to well to a werwolf by himself. Most likely I wouldn't be able to secure it properly. Everything other than that sounds manageable. We will get moving in that direction. [6]

"The Council troops would take far too long to reach the city from where they are now." She runs a hand through her hair, nervousness in her tone. "That means you either take it on your own, you take it with those centaurs and sylphs you are currently traveling with, or you let the Court of Lilacs march in from the East unopposed. That last option is not recommended but we may be able to swing the second option if we were to have Jules and Allie hold Sommerda [6] whilst I hold Erfurt [11] with the two groups of aquatic fae joining me."

"Alright. Sounds good. We should also keep an eye on the area just to the east of the city. [12] It looks like a highly defensible spot, not to mention the village there."

She nods, soon realizes that motion won't transfer over the radio, and then stutters out a yes.

She recomposes herself as Lady Bresee makes her way into the tent, sitting up straighter as the regal centaur woman looks over the maps Avery had prepared for her. "We will be keeping a very close eye on the area as the days go by and will hopefully take the region as soon as an opening makes itself known."

Just a bit outside the war tent - well, not entirely outside. Somewhat inbetween the inside and the outside, there's a bit of a bloodcurdling cry as something appears to crawl its way out of the ground - tiny, disgusting, vicious litt- Oh. It's just Elisha. She appears to be late.

She reacts to what are likely weapons pointed at her with bemusement. "I... urgh. Am I late? Did the war finish yet?"

Jules shrugs at Avery's suggestions and questions. "Remember, I don't do strategy stuff that well. As I said, I am just here to keep an eye on you. Which also means I am not going to be happy about me taking off to one place, while you go somewhere else."

When something, or someone starts crawling out of the ground, Jules immediately jumps in between the tiny, disgusting, vicious little being and Avery, to protect his friend.

He swings his hammer around, bring himself into position. "What the FUCK?!"

She gives another look around to people, bemused turning to slightly irate. She seems partially covered in dirt... and blood. But there's visible parts of a templar sigil on her shoulder underneath it all. "What, you've never seen a horrific goddamn demonic mutant crawl out of a rift in the fabric of reality that she positioned wrongly before?"

"No.... Maybe? Fuck I don't know!"

Jules looks over his shoulder quickly, because Templar sigils or not, he is sure as hell not going to let anyone get too close to Avery.

"So. Aves? Friend or Foe?"

A crackle comes over the radio, "Theo here. Yeah that sounds fine, Avery. Sorry for the late response. Trying to move as quickly as possible out here. Tell everyone we are proceeding as planned. We will be heading south to enter the forest area soon." Theo said, speaking into the receiver.

After he finished, he slipped it back into his pocket. He slowed his pace so that he could better address the fae in his company. "Lady Bresee want us to continue south, head into the forests, and start making our advancement east. Alright? Let's go!" He commanded as he quickened his pace.

Avery stands at attention as Elisha crawls out of the ground, bouncing on the balls of her feet as she enters into something of a combat stance. She starts to sing a soft but haunting Fae tune as her shawl begins to hover inches above her shoulders and arms, the glimmering water responding to her song with a potentially fatal hum of water. When she notices it is Elisha, however, she stops the song and the shawl splashes back down upon her shoulders. She chuckles nervously, waving down Jules as she goes to help her up. "Welcome to the Court of Spring, Elisha. You haven't missed a thing yet."

Lady Bresee didn't seem at all alarmed by the newcomer's presence but huffed a little with annoyance as she sheathed what was a surprisingly rusty blade. She didn't seem to have ever cleaned it but it looked and felt extraordinarily powerful nonetheless. "Courier... I am not at all impressed with the manners of those allies you have chosen."

Avery turned and bowed her apologies. "I apologize, Lady Bresee. Elisha seems to have been a little lost and set up her rift incorrectly. I promise you that this is not an ordinary occurrence and that she will prove herself a vital ally on the battlefield."

Lady Bresee huffed with annoyance once more and nodded to the newcomer as a fore-hoof tore at the ground beneath her. She then turned back to her maps and the radio, picking up the receiver. "Knight Collins, this is Lady Bresee. I am pleased to hear that progress is going well and expect you shall find little resistance until you reach the South. Whilst you are traveling, therefore, I wish you and the troops to engage in war exercises at least once a day. March quickly and true, Court of Spring." She then puts down the receiver once more and looks to Avery. "Your Archer is doing quite the job keeping up troop morale and fortifying the camp. I like her far better than your last choice of companion. Good job." Avery looks like she is both pleased and pained by that information, simply bowing her thanks in return.

"Elisha? When will you be ready to march?"

Despite the sigil, she bares few similarities to others of her order. Her 'uniform', if it could be called that, is nothing but a long (Well... normal human size) black shirt and pants with a sigil sewn on. And her only weapon would appear to be a kitchen knife.

"Marching?" She looked over with a sly smile as she brushed off soil. "I came here to fight, not to march... But I suppose I'll need to get to the fight somehow."

Avery grinned and extended a hand to Elisha.

"Wonderful. How would you like to travel southwards with Jules, Allie, and I later tonight?"

Jules at first seems a bit unimpressed by Elisha, but when he hears her attitude to marching, he breaks into a huge grin.

"I like you! I am Jules. I am also here to fight and not go marching around."

Then he shoots the centaur woman a look out the corner of his eye and whisper towards Elisha, "Don't piss her off."

She returns the grin with a nod, and takes the hand with a firm shake. The centaur does seem to almost -impress- her... not surprising - She doesn't even reach the things' waist.

"I'll be able to - might break off depending on the situation. Best at fire support. I mean - I'm tiny, look at me. All soft and squishy." She pokes at her hand, proving that she is, indeed, soft and squishy. "I'm also Elisha." She nods over to Jules. "And I'm sure I won't - well. Not purposefully."

A light, residual scent of smoke and gunpowder seemed to surround around Viyola as she slowly moved into the war tent, viewing the scene -- frankly as odd as she expected. Her hair was tied up in her usual tight ponytail, but today she had a gas mask stapped to the side of her head, almost seeming to be more of an accessory, even though one could tell it was fully functional. This combined with her combat bodysuit, layered with a leather-ish jacket, made her outfit honestly more intimidating, in heavy contrast to her average figure and soft and warm, but direct, gaze.

She scratched her neck a bit as she examined everyone quickly, then smiled sheepishly.

"Uh... Hello." The woman paused a bit, then added a few seconds later, "Viyola Marcotte, Tear of Mattarias, employed under Illuminati."

Vi paused again, examining everyone once more, then straightened herself, rolling her shoulders back, as if suddenly realizing she as in some bad form. "Reporting for duty, I suppose."

Lady Bresee turned to Viyola and, much to Avery's surprise, smiled warmly.

"It is an honor to meet you, Tear Marcotte. Thank you for your honest attempt at a respectful entrance." She looked to Avery so as to nod her approval before turning to Jules and Elisha with a disappointed expression. "You two could learn something from Ms. Marcotte. She may not wear the attire of a warrior but she at least has attempted to show the respect of one." The Lady of the Plains looks back to Viyola and smiles once more. "Tear Marcotte, are you aware of the situation?"

Vi watches with a slightly-surprised expression; it was odd for this intimidating woman to have greeted her so warmly after the bitter expression Vi had observed before. She returns a small smile and a nod to the centaur.

"I just arrived last night, so... no, if I'll be quite honest," she replied.

The Lady of the Plains moves closer to the map and calls any who were interested to stand around the table.

"As I would very well assume you all know at this point, the Court of Spring and our Council of Venice allies have been locked into a war against the Filth-infected Court of Lilacs and their Queen Karaliene within this storied land of Thuringia." She begins to point out locations on the map. "Currently we control the north whilst they command the eastern regions, but both forces seem to be focusing their efforts upon this central belt of cities which run across the state. Our strategy for the time being is to have one force move into occupy this central city of Erfurt [11] and use it to hold back Queen Karaliene's advances. At the same time, we send a large number of our forces into the southern part of the state so as to flank and eventually push the Filth back into their corner of the map."

She looks up at Viyola and Elisha. "Which would you rather: Defend our lands or move in to take more?"

Vi was quick to answer: "I'd prefer to stay back for now." She took in a deep breath and shifted a bit. "Someone made a point that I should be careful for now. I don't want a repeat of what happened a few weeks ago, getting captured and all. Plus, I'd like to wait and see how things play out and what I can do in the future, once we encounter... well." She rubbed the back of her neck, taking a second to form a phrase. "More... problematic enemies."

Lady Bresee frowns a little but nods her understanding. "Would you be willing to march to the South? It is doubtful that you would encounter much resistance so long as you kept to the western edge of Thuringia."
