As with any role play, larger plots require more players and in turn require a larger space. This provided us with a challenge in how to offer players a great area to conduct their large scale plots in a manner that would benefit them. The portal was that solution.
To access the groups section you have two avenues to do so. One is to click on the "Groups" link in the top bar at the top of your browser window or to click on the "Role Play Portal" link within the forums.
You can view all of the available games that are currently running. Depending on the DM running the game, banners would likely be used to help players seeking an open game. As you can see in the example below.
You can join this group by clicking on the "Join Group" button. Typically a DM would allow open joining but on some games the signup process might be more involved or be closed altogether.
You can navigate within the group via this navigation bar that is directly below the groups banner. You can read up on the information about this particular group, view the other members within the group, see if there are upcoming events scheduled, read through the role play threads or check out the rules.
