The Red Sisters: The Haitian Shuffle

Sartre made his way to lower archives following the library assistant. "My guess is this comes from a lost culture?"

Aka searched throughfully the area until he found the ledger of the shop. Reading through it the man with no name stopped at the mention of a large quantity of nightshade. Holding the ledger, he exited the store and showed the line to the Chief Inspector.

"Is that man, Kyle McDonovan, one of your team mates? If not then it seems someone is going witch hunting... I am surprised the owner allowed that sort of sells but then again I am not to judge her as it seemed someone already did."

Shaking his head he continued.

"Unfortunetly I could not find any evidence of her faith, I suppose you have an oecumenic rite of sort for her. An angry ghost on top of a murderer would be harsh for the community. Now if you dont need me anymore I will go buy some soy beans before joining the others at the library."

And with that he bowed low to Wayne and handed him the ledger in the process.

Within the library:

Dimitri nodded slightly leading the agent through the foreboding looking doorway "I have an idea on what could be a reason for the murder."

Through the door is a rather large room that appears to go on forever, bookshelves block any hope of seeing the far end of the room "I've already set up some materials that might help anyone investigating my sisters death."

The shop:

Wayne quickly thumbed through the ledger stopping at the page Aka had mentioned with the name "I know the ingredients for that kind of spell but just as you said, why sell it? Here, take the ledger as we've already scanned it. I know, Templars using modern technology how strange."

He handed Aka a business card "anything else you find out I would like to hear about it. For the dead girl I guess we'll have to find her next of kin and inform them and where they could make arrangements."

How odd they scanned the ledger but did not take time to actually read it... And why mention Templars acting modern when presented with evidence of ancient anti-witch ritual... Then again I am a foreigner here...

Aka smiled and bowed and took the card with one hand while keeping the ledger under his other arm:

"Not so strange, even my computerwise brethren sometimes carry blades when it is required... I will keep you informed... if you find her kin, may be you should keep an eye on them, vengeance could still be a motive and her death obviously carries a message."

With that the asian man left the crime scene and walked back into the gloom alleys of Darkside in search of the other components of the ritual, if anyone had seen that Kyle McDonovan or if he would stumble upon the mysterious red haired woman he met previously; that is until eventually his steps would lead him to a shop selling soy beans and then the library.

" Dimitri, I am very saddened by the loss of your sister in such a horrible fashion. I know you can be able to help me find out what happened to her. Out of all of these extremely thick and esoteric tomes, which one do you think your sister would've had a particular interest in and which one do you think would help our investigation the most?" Sartre said.

Looking around to make sure they were isolated as much as could be, Dimitri spoke softly "The only thing I can think of are a small ancient order. If I'm correct then we are all in danger." Sliding a book closer to the agent. It's cover appeared to have been burned many years ago and the once polished metal clasp was melted, barely keeping the lock in place "only a few know of the order of the red sisters. This book is the only surviving record of their deeds. I had found it only earlier today and it contained this page." Removing a folded page from his jacket pocket. On it was a drawing of the gruesome scene that had taken place in Darkside "I didn't believe it at first but when I conducted a quick search in our archives and then I was informed of my sisters passing." Dimitri paused for a moment trying to keep his composer "Our family were apart of watchers in the new world. They had played a small part to what had happened to those involved."

Opening the book Dimitri pointed to an entry.

We have gathered the remaining heretics and witches that had been terrorizing the towns people of Salem. Conducting tribunals upon the three leaders under the orders of the watchers we ascertain that over the past four years the Red Sisters slaughtered an untold number of natives and the entire clan of of three families.

The Watchers deemed that the actions of the Red Sisters and their followers to be unholy and the mark of the devil. For being in the new colonies the Templars could not make any actions without unbalancing the tentative agreement with the Illuminati.

Dimitir sighed "I believe that they're making their mark and vengeance is something they are willing to destroy the peace between the factions to get what they want."

She had been watching from a distend since the Asian man had left the crime scene, keeping to the shadows she waited for the right moment.

"You won't be able to find him." She said while keeping a respectable distance "his mission is finished and by now the body is a rapidly disappearing pile of ash."

The woman with the red highlights in her pure white hair stood stoically, her black long coat with red trim hid her petite frame "This is something far beyond a weird unexplained murder. The politics of the factions won't be able to enforce their archaic laws in this new world."

Aka stopped and bowed slightly at the mysterious woman coming out of the shadows. As he bowed his supertitious side got the better of him and he tried checking discreetly if she had feet just in case she was in fact a ghost.

"Greetings again miss, I suppose that if I am not a pile of dust myself by now that means that my part in all this has not yet been played which leads me to ask you a question: what is the part you play in all this?"

"Ahh yes, a portrait of classic American paranoia. It lasted all the way up until the Enlightenment, and one could say it even continues until this day Dimitri. Where would you suggest that I start looking for this ancient order of Wiccans? Should I start a new England or perhaps look somewhere in Europe. Did this Coven have a base somewhere in Europe that they could have fled to?"

"That would be rude of me to just randomly have someone burst into flames no, I'm actually trying to stop something much bigger than any of us from occurring." The woman remained still as she spoke "In fact you might be someone that could help us in taking care of this threat."

Templar Library
"The only thing I know is that our grandmother mentioning every so often of a place here in London that at one point in time was a refuge for these cultists to go and do what ever it was that they did." Dimitri thumbed through several pages of the book before stopping on one "ah ha." he was growing excited as he turned the book towards the agent. On the page was a faded map of Ealdwic most notably a section of older Darkside that appeared to have been converted from Victorian London "This house is it. I'm sure of it."

The Asian man tilted his head.
"Sometimes I have the feeling there is a competition to end this Age... Make no mistake miss, those I serve plan on finishing first once and for all and as such I could indeed help you delay the inavitable."

Aka made a step toward the woman.
"So do tell me of that threat we are up against..."

He asked for the map from Dimitri. " I will check this old mansion out. Let me know if I can be of further assistance. "

As he headed towards London's Darkside, he made sure that his handgun was ready for use.
