[RP:1c] The church

Marcos stands, still as a statue — a statue seemingly dedicated to the God of Bars, given how he's holding his phone up in that desperate way too many people do — for an uncomfortably long minute before he realizes that he's not going to die in a blaze of whatever it was that was coming at him. Probably not glory.

And then he notices Mathieu standing there, probably staring at him and wondering not so subtly if his teammate had gone mad.

Marcos composes himself as casually as possible as he walks over to Mathieu. He doesn't entirely succeed. After making sure that Sarah isn't in earshot, he whispers, "I need to show you something." A glance at the door. "Later." Marcos takes one last look around the church, making sure that there's no remnant of what he's just experienced that he can bring with him, before hurrying out of the church. He isn't staying a second more in there, if he can help it.

Sarah looks up at the sound of the door closing. She dusts her hands off on her pants, and a stain that's almost the same colour as the pants shows that this is a habit she has.

"Ready to go?"

Marcos, who's still looking a bit... well, a bit like he's actually seen the face of God (if God were as horrific as those nope-phanim, that is), nods slowly. "Ah. Yes. I am ready." He somehow manages a wry smile for the other two. "I am sorry I kept you two waiting. My backlog of prayers was much longer than I thought it was."
