As a new member to The Lower World, it can appear daunting to see everything laid out as it is. Fear not weary traveler. We'll help you get your feet wet and have you diving right away into the meat and potatoes of role play.
When you first arrive at The Lower World you are presented with a menu bar that resides at the top of your browser window, as seen in the example above. As you click on the "Forums" link you'll be shown the main forums listing. Below, I'll explain as to what each section is.

- Forums - These are pretty much your gateway to all manner of role play, role play discussions, advice, and more.
- Community - Your first stop on your journey.
- Announcement - Important threads in regards to the site and forums are all collected here. Updates about site features can also be read here.
- Introduction - Tell us a little about yourself by posting a thread here. We're all very welcoming
- Information & Support - Needing to learn more about a particular section or have a question? This section can help guide you with your questions. Post up a thread with your question and we'll help you out as quick as we can.
- Testing Grounds - This section is solely for trying out new things, testing how your posts may look or just want to see how images and other assorted things would appear.
- Role Play - The main section in which all of your role play is conducted.
- Collections - From simple one page stories to journals, to one on one role play can be found within.
- Dossiers - When you create a new Showcase item, a new thread is automatically created here for you. You may use these threads to ask the player questions about their character or to shower them with praise.
- Role Play Portal - Our largest and most active section. Within the portal can be found the many multiplayer, larger role play games listing. You can find any kind of plot that may suit your character(s).
- Polaris Point - For games that tend to be geared for the smaller number of players, Polaris Point may be what you are looking for. You would need to speak with the DM's within each section or see if they have posted any threads seeking new players.
- Community Discussion - A laid back area for all manner of things.
- Art House - Do you have a new piece of art work and wanting to tell the world about it? Here, you can.
- The Artist Table - We love for artists to post up their commision pricing or to simply say that they are open for new commissions within their very own threads.
- The Pub - A place for almost anything goes, it's similar to your neighborhood bar but with less drunks.
- Roleplay Discussion & Resources - Seeking advice on role play or know of some great resources that you believe can help others?
- Art House - Do you have a new piece of art work and wanting to tell the world about it? Here, you can.
